These floors are made with a one-strip plank design of 6 1/2 inches in width. There is slight beveling at the edges and a veneer that is 3mm thick. The high density fiberboard core, or HDF is made to provide stability and reduction of noise, while the peeled spruce backing offers durability. This type of wood flooring has a thickness of 14mm and features the innovative Lifestrong finish exclusive to Alloc. This finish is made of seven high tech coating layers.

The mastic base layer smooths the pores of the wood, while the water-based UV layer works as as a primer. After that a high tech UV sealant is applied, followed by two layers of UV primer to prevent splintering of the wood. Finally two layers of aluminum oxide coating are applied for the ultimate in damage resistance. This seven layer coating not only protects the wood but provides a beautiful glossy look. The tongue and groove installation is made to click together and the floating installation can go over concrete flooring. These floors are compatible with radiant heat which is favorable because many homeowners are going with this heating option these days.
